Great work girls. You thought carefully about the words you chose.
We have had great fun today creating replicas of one of the illustrations from the book The Story Machine by Tom McLaughlin. We had to think of words that would tell our readers about us. They are looking fab.
Great concentration Ismail. Sienna couldn’t help but get that big grin...
The children in Niagara Falls class produced some excellent work last term and showed empathy and maturity during our World War II topic. Our English lessons were based on the powerful and moving picture book 'Rose Blanche'. In humanities children learned about the impact of war in Britain, the blitz, evacuation and rationing (which also facilitated some great maths...
A huge thank you to our school council for all their hard work, as well as the amazing Project Playgrounds team who have worked tirelessly for the last two days.

As well as several other tasks during Anti-Bullying week, we read the amazing poem by our very own Paul Jenkins - parent, governor, poet.
It really hit home with its powerful message. The children were then set the challenge of recording the poem using the school grounds as a different backdrop for each verse, edit it using iMovie then email...
In Golden Gate class each child created an individual jigsaw piece containing our name, information, hobbies, personality traits and looks. We then began to build the jigsaw to show that we can all mix together and be strong as a team - as friends.
We decided that the jigsaw should have no sides or corners, this is because if new...
We were fortunate to receive a visit today from the NSPCC. There were two assemblies for KS1 and KS2 then the following classes received a workshop: Niagara Falls, Grand Canyon, Golden Gate.
Thank you very much to the NSPCC for the informative sessions. The children have learnt so much and behaved superbly.
As part of our work about Children in Need Day we made Pudsey headbands and wristbands.
We also coloured Pudsey pictures.
We watched a PowerPoint all about Children in Need; it told us about who we can help and how we can help them.
We made a cake each for Children in Need and raised £4.80....
We made anti-bullying posters to tell people what to do if they are being bullied.
We talked about how we might feel if we are being bullied and what we could do.
We made anti- bullying wrist bands with slogans on them to stop bullies.
Also we talked about qualities that make a brilliant friend who our friends are.
We made a friendship...
As part of Anti Bullying week, Taj Mahal have been focusing on the fact that we are 'All different, All equal'. The class were asked to choose a potato each and take a detailed look at it's features. They then compared the similarities and differences of their potato with a partner. The children then had the same discussions, but...
The children in Golden Gate were treated to a visit from some CSI officers as part of their ongoing ID topic.
Rachel Peary and Adele Shales, from Greater Manchester Police's CSI unit, came to talk to the children about crime scenes and how evidence is collected. Everyone was given the opportunity to lift fingerprints, collect DNA swabs and photograph "injuries"...
The year 5s from Golden Gate and Grand Canyon thoroughly enjoyed their day at the woods. Making dens, campfire cooking, building swords, bows and leaf mobiles as well as playing many games; but most importantly, the children were bonding and behaving superbly. Great to see! Thank you to Miss Crooks for the great photographs!
