All KS2 children loved their first day back today as they moved around the 5 classes, learning about the following musical genres: Motown, country, hip-hop, jazz and Native American.
They made instruments, danced, wrote raps, sang songs, played instruments and painted faces! This was all done in their chosen outfits!
What a great day! Thank you to staff, parents and children!
The children in Niagara Falls class had a fantastic final session at 'The Island' in Summerseat with The CommuniTree Initiative. In a fun-packed morning they enjoyed: climbing trees, building dens, playing team games, starting fires, toasting brioche and making smores, playing in the mud kitchen and much more!
The reading gladiators were given the task of creating a story map for a quest, inspired by the book we have been reading this month: 'The Cake, the Wolf and the Witch' by Maudie Smith. They worked brilliantly as a team and were very creative!
