Tonight we faced Greenmount Primary in round 2 of the league cup. 

After 20 seconds, Joe played Owain clean through but his shot just whistled past the post. 5 minutes later and Holcombe Brook had taken the lead. After a good passage of play, Joe laid the ball off to Oliver on the edge of the box and Oliver rifled the ball in off the bar, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance. 

The lead didn’t last long after Greenmount’s talented front three passed the ball intricately around our defence, slotted the ball past Harry. With 10 minutes of the half to play, Joe and Nikita got their own goals – just what their hard work deserved.

Early in the second half, Greenmount got one back, but Henry allayed any fears with a fast run and a cool finish!

This means we’re now through to the quarter finals! Well done Team HB!
