The Education Reform Act 1988 has placed certain restrictions on charging for activities that take place within the school day. As a result, to cover the cost of school outings we may ask for voluntary contributions from parents. If,  the response is not sufficient we will fund the trip where possible, but it may be necessary to withdraw the offer of the outing in exceptional circumstances.
