Massive thank you to the staff today that were not only teaching and caring for critical worker children from 7:30-5:30 but have been spending last night and today preparing and uploading activities via the Google Classroom platform. Soon, they will be ‘zooming’ into your homes on a regular basis and adding comments to work submitted.
Thank you also to parents for their support and understanding as well as responding to last minute letters, surveys and emails/texts (as well as becoming expert teachers at home!).
There were 113 survey responses and 30 emails to hbkeyworkers@gmail.com – it’s also been appreciated that parents may have requested full time places but have now changed to part time following updates from their employers. If there is anyone else that now doesn’t need a full time place, please email and I can change the registers to ensure the numbers are kept at a safe level and we can offer some extra days to vulnerable children too.
Last but certainly not least…a special mention and 👏👏👏👏 to ALL of our pupils who either came into a smaller class, perhaps played with children they don’t know as well or were thinking of friends that weren’t in school; as well as all those children that were expecting to come in today and instead were completing activities at home: we have all missed you but know you will be back soon.
