Today we welcomed our former headteacher, Mr. Howarth, to talk to Golden Gate and Grand Canyon about music in the Tudor Times. We saw images of the viol, the lute, the virginal, the crumhorn and many other Tudor instruments.
The children were also treated to a performance on several recorders of varying sizes.
The behaviour was superb and the children clearly enjoyed their session, two confident pupils even performed a dance!
Thank you to Mrs. Geelan for organising and to Mr. Howarth for giving up his time and sharing his knowledge, and talent, with the two classes.
