An tiring but amazing week for all involved – thanks once again to all the staff and parents for your support during what some teachers have said ‘was the best show they had seen in 23 years’. A special mention to Mr. Jenel, Mr. French, Mrs. Geelan, Linda and Emily and many other staff that helped throughout rehearsals, on the night and of course to parents for helping to learn lines and making/purchasing costumes.
Last night, we also held our annual awards evening where the 40 amazing year 6 children were each presented with their records of achievement and a pen drive (thanks to the PTA) – this also contained a special video!
We also presented 4 special awards; well done to our winners (photographs below): Progress – Cailyn & Nadia, Sports – Max & Levi, Individuality – Jaime and of course, the Ross Walsh shield for special achievement and endeavour – Lily and Lucy.
Children were nominated by staff and votes were tallied. Obviously there were seven children that thoroughly deserved the above awards and would be rightly proud of their efforts. On the other hand, 33 children would have loved to have been recognised but may have had other memorable highlights over the years – musical memories, sporting achievements, Robinwood, talent shows, TTRS day, main parts in the play, Head Boy or Head Girl, SATs results etc.
We are proud of you all and we know you will be a great success as you move onto the next chapter of your education.
All the very best.
Mr. Bradshaw
