As much as it will be exciting for all staff, children and parents to be able to get back safely to school on Thursday 3rd September, I’m sure there will be high levels of anxiety – if there are any questions at all linked to returning to school, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. One question to date has been about bags, lunchboxes and water bottles – all of these ARE allowed.
THREE WISHES (plus sponsorship opportunity)
1) seven weeks ago I ordered some of the sports barriers in (picture below). Sadly they won’t be arriving till the second week back. They will be used to allow for safe pedestrian access via the car park as well as creating zones on the playground. If anyone has access to builders’ barriers (picture below behind the new gate), just for a week, please drop them at school prior to 3/9. (Thanks to Dave Jowett for several already).
2) Every 2-3 years we seek sponsors for our sports kit (see picture below). We enter around 15 different sports events every year and pride ourselves in trying to include as many year 6 as possible. Your company name could appear on the front or back of the shirt or even the shorts. Our teams play at a range of venues across Bury and often at the Manchester Games, followed up by website reports and social media posts.
3) As our sensory garden develops, do you know somebody that may want to sponsor equipment, bug hotels or planters? We are also desperate to find someone that could engrave simple logos and lettering onto wood? (Pictures below).
