Year 6 Roles & Responsibilities

We use several key tools around school and in the classroom to help teach and develop core values and skills, along a pupil's Learning Journey at Holcombe Brook. 'Learning Waymarks' shown here are specific items from these tools that are relevant to the content, or activity being reported. We add this information with the hope of strengthening these values and accelerating pupil development, both in the classroom and at home. To add to our head boy, head girl and deputy roles, the rest of year 6 were all given a badge. Sadly our usually monitor and prefect duties can’t take place at the moment but we are trying to ensure they still feel that element of responsibility in their roles at the top of the school. The staff have been saying just how quickly and maturely they have all settled back into year 6. Below we have our house captains, standing proudly in front of the dojo points board. Our houses are Peel, Bronte, Lowry and Wordsworth. These children will remain in this role till Easter and were all presented to the rest of the school in our recent zoom assembly.
