Question time with a visitor

We use several key tools around school and in the classroom to help teach and develop core values and skills, along a pupil's Learning Journey at Holcombe Brook. 'Learning Waymarks' shown here are specific items from these tools that are relevant to the content, or activity being reported. We add this information with the hope of strengthening these values and accelerating pupil development, both in the classroom and at home. This morning, we were extremely fortunate to welcome Paul Jenkins to school.

Not only is Paul a Dad to Thomas in year 5, but he is a governor, author and poet too!

He visited all the classes first and then delivered a memorable assembly to the whole school, reading poems from his latest book. The book contains 20 poems and is titled ‘My Bottom Did A Burp In Class!’ Written by Paul but illustrated by our very own Thomas!

Order forms will be sent home this Thursday and your child can buy a signed copy for £4.50 .

Paul then went into Golden Gate and Grand Canyon classes for a Q and A session and a workshop about the writing process.
