This week, our Year 6 Writers group visited Woodhey High School as a reward for their excellent attitude and standards in writing all year long.

Woodhey kindly put on a morning of English lessons, which our pupils were invited to participate in.  Their pupils made our children feel welcome and included us in the discussions and activities, which included story sequencing, identifying structural features and making inferences from reading a class novel extract.

The lessons were well-paced and challenged our children; keeping them engaged and giving them a taste of what to expect in high school.
