Letters from The Lusitania

Work well independently or in a group

Make an effort to extend vocabulary

This week we have been delving into ‘Listen to the Moon’ by Michael Morpurgo- a story all about Lucy, a passenger from The Lusitania (which was a boat that came under attack in 1915).

We looked carefully at images of the various rooms on the boat and footage of what it would’ve been like on board the extravagant vessel. We wrote letters to our loved ones in Liverpool that we couldn’t wait to see after a lengthy time in New York!

Here are 2 of our final drafts, by Arron and Lauren. We also used the green screen to create videos from the Lusitania using the texts they had written – watch this space!

Keep it up, Golden Gate!
