We use several key tools around school and in the classroom to help teach and develop core values and skills, along a pupil's Learning Journey at Holcombe Brook. 'Learning Waymarks' shown here are specific items from these tools that are relevant to the content, or activity being reported. We add this information with the hope of strengthening these values and accelerating pupil development, both in the classroom and at home. Local police officers were invited to year 6 to help bring a crime scene to life and give the children a chance to see what it would be like to try to solve a murder mystery using fingerprints and other equipment. 

It has brought their latest genre of writing to life and we are looking forward to seeing their non-chronological reports about fingerprints.
