Pupils from Tottington, Greenmount, Summerseat, Old Hall and our own year 6 class, came together to form a new ‘North Bury’ maths class!
The aim of the morning was for the pupils to master a wide variety of topics learnt throughout the year and learn about something new too (stem and leaf, permutations, combinations and factorials).
The main objective however, was for the children to be collaborative and make new friends with children from different schools; something that will be of great importance come September!
All children showed brilliant strategies, enthusiasm for maths and the ability to carry out calculations rapidly.
They enjoyed the murder mysteries during the first session and the treasure hunt (slightly spoilt by the weather!) and football-themed computer activity after a drink and snack.
What a pleasure it was to work with such well-behaved, conscientious young adults.
Mrs. Evans has also expressed how proud she was too…
