Year 6 enjoyed observing their ice bergs using magnifiers this morning. Firstly, we added table salt or rock salt, then some food colouring and finally water.
Whilst watching carefully, the children chose questions to answer about the changes they were noticing.
Lots of scientific language was being used and the children enjoyed working collaboratively in their new groups.
Once the ice began to melt and change shape; more salt and food colouring was added. Great effort Golden Gate!
