We are aware that you have been sent quite a lot of home learning links and tips through various channels and over several weeks. Here are all the opportunities in one place. Remember, do you what you can, submit work via the class dojo portfolio, if you are able to, for teacher responses and keep in touch if you have any issues. The main thing is you are all keeping well: physically and mentally. We completely understand how challenging it is.
English
The government have recently promoted a resource called English Mastery. If you scroll down on this link and click on the relevant year group it will give you a booklet. The booklet has English lessons around a book (which is also provided). This is a new resource but looks very good at first glance. https://www.englishmastery.org
Other useful websites: https://www.literacyshedplus.com/browse/free-resources a great website to inspire writing and develop vocabulary through film.

BBC Bitesize have always had lots of great videos to support children’s learning but they have now created daily lessons for home schooling, which may be of some help. These are available through this link but are also going to be on the red button on the TV and iPlayer. https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize
Along with the BBC links, this brand new website has also been promoted by the government and covers a range of subjects from reception to year 10! It includes quizzes and daily lessons delivered via video from current teachers. It is very impressive. https://www.thenational.academy/
We also have exclusive access to a wonderful resource called ‘Now Press Play’. Using headphones (preferably) and a device the children can be transported to almost anywhere! Find out more in a previous post … Now Press Play!
Family Learning Projects are still available on our website. Week 3 for this week is VIEWPOINTS!

Maths
White Rose maths lessons are great for home learning and follow the same order as school. However they are changing slightly over the next few weeks- I will keep you posted on this.

If your child is in year 3,4,5 or 6 and loves extra maths challenges, this is the place for them … http://www.iseemaths.com/home-lessons/
Children can of course, go on TTRockstars, Maths Shed, Spelling Shed, Prodigy and Read Theory as much as they want (Not all classes have access to each of these). We also love to hear that children are enjoying reading a good book, helping in the garden and baking in the kitchen!
The above are just recommendations to support you all as we know how challenging this current situation is. Teachers are available to be contacted through class dojo for any support required and more and more of the staff are developing their confidence in the use of zoom for children to be able to maintain some form of contact with their classmates and the staff at school.
If you are running out of exercise books to work in please ring school and we will aim to deliver some as soon as is possible.
Thank you and keep safe.
Thanks .. this is so much easier
