19 children from year 3-6 set out to the Bury AC running track on Saturday 22nd June and represented the school and their families superbly. Confidence. Talent. Teamwork. It was an absolute joy to watch and so many parents said exactly the same thing. 

Results we are aware of: an amazing gold medal for our youngest athlete Amelia (60m), Silver medals for Rowan (60m), Olivia (Shot), Boys relay, Girls relay, Ella S (75m), bronze medals for our year 5 600m runners Lily and Callum, Rex (shot), Ella K (75m), 4th place for Oliver (75m), Ella and Max in the 600m. 

Apologies if I’ve missed anyone but well done to all that took part. There were 18 schools altogether and we managed to come second for a second consecutive year narrowing the gap with Hollymount to just 6 points. (77 and 71). 

Mr. Crawshaw and I were immensely proud of all the squad and how they pulled together. The older children passed on their knowledge and experience to the younger members and ensured they were fully prepared for their event.
