Know that you need exercise to stay healthy

Challenge yourself physically

We use several key tools around school and in the classroom to help teach and develop core values and skills, along a pupil's Learning Journey at Holcombe Brook. 'Learning Waymarks' shown here are specific items from these tools that are relevant to the content, or activity being reported. We add this information with the hope of strengthening these values and accelerating pupil development, both in the classroom and at home. Recently, we were successful in a bid for National Lottery funding. The money has been used to create a multifunctional play area which slots in nicely next to our gym equipment and behind our wonderful learning pods. 

The children have been desperate to have a play, but we are waiting for the soft surface to be laid – and the concrete to set – before they will have a slot on the timetable to use it. 

As you can see, there are balance beams, monkey bars and a climbing wall to help improve co-ordination and strength. 

Please may we ask that the facilities are not used before or after school.
