Our Ofsted report has finally arrived and – due to the summer holidays – will not be on the official Ofsted website until September. However – we have permission to share the report with parents via our school website. Thank you to everyone again for the ‘Team HB effort’. It is very rewarding to read the Inspection Team’s observations and comments about our school and to see that they have recognised the wider curriculum and the outstanding achievements in music and sport as well as the sound all round progress made since the last Inspection across all other areas. The positive report is testament to the hard work of all staff in school, the hard work of the pupils and the support of parents. During the meetings held with the Inspectors, many elements of ‘outstanding’ in the framework were discussed and met, particularly around behaviour and personal development and the curriculum we offer. As a community we will continue to build upon these strengths and also work towards the next steps identified in our report. After a very challenging two years of constant change, new curriculum, new assessment system, changes in education ministers as well as the usual challenges in school, we are very satisfied with our overall ‘good’ grade and will certainly have a ‘good’ rest over the holidays in order to return in September refreshed and ready to move onwards and upwards. School is now ‘full to bursting’ for September 2016 with all places taken.
May I take this opportunity, on behalf of Governors to thank staff, pupils and parents who have supported our journey along the way and always believed in the ‘Holcombe Brook’ ethos. It is very much appreciated.

Congratulations to everyone ? and very much deserved. Personally to us the school is an outstanding school and offers our children a safe and wonderful learning environment and that’s what matters as a parent. It’s great that you get the recognition you deserve. Happy summer ?
