Participate in extra curricular activities

We use several key tools around school and in the classroom to help teach and develop core values and skills, along a pupil's Learning Journey at Holcombe Brook. 'Learning Waymarks' shown here are specific items from these tools that are relevant to the content, or activity being reported. We add this information with the hope of strengthening these values and accelerating pupil development, both in the classroom and at home. Congratulations to all 16 girls that represented our two football teams in a year 3/4 and a year 5/6 tournament on Thursday 16th September.

12 of the girls had never played for a team before but hopefully this may spur them on to look to play it again in the not too distant future.

All girls showed a real togetherness and a will to be there for each other throughout some really tricky ties. Many of the girls scored fabulous goals or made brilliant tackles and some even saved penalties!

It really was a great day and all the players should be incredibly proud finish in second place out of the whole of Bury. Well done Team HB!

Thank you to Mr. West, Mr. Crawshaw and Mrs. Lynchey for helping on the day and during trials, as well as a big thank you to parents for their support with transport (and the coffees!)
