We use several key tools around school and in the classroom to help teach and develop core values and skills, along a pupil's Learning Journey at Holcombe Brook. 'Learning Waymarks' shown here are specific items from these tools that are relevant to the content, or activity being reported. We add this information with the hope of strengthening these values and accelerating pupil development, both in the classroom and at home. Children from the oldest four classes in school took part in the second resilience challenge in just a few months. During their first challenge prior to Christmas, the children scored a 7/10 for resilience; this time round the children scored a magnificent 9/10! They all worked really hard and supported each other throughout their difficult triathlon experience!

During the morning we also had a celebration as one of our athletes was selected as the 45000th runner that has taken part in the Tri Kidz events across the country! (Well done Isla!)
