Be motivated

We use several key tools around school and in the classroom to help teach and develop core values and skills, along a pupil's Learning Journey at Holcombe Brook. 'Learning Waymarks' shown here are specific items from these tools that are relevant to the content, or activity being reported. We add this information with the hope of strengthening these values and accelerating pupil development, both in the classroom and at home. Well done to Freya and Arabella, pictured below, for being the first in the class to pass the gold medal!

Golden Gate children move their ‘swimmers’ along for outstanding behaviour and work. When they pass the bronze, silver and gold medals, they can choose a prize from the box. 

There is also an added competitive element of boys against the girls – where the winning group will receive an extra playtime!

Freya and Arabella have had a super start to life in year 6 and thoroughly deserve their prizes. You’re a great example, girls.
