The children in Golden Gate were treated to a visit from some CSI officers as part of their ongoing ID topic.
Rachel Peary and Adele Shales, from Greater Manchester Police’s CSI unit, came to talk to the children about crime scenes and how evidence is collected. Everyone was given the opportunity to lift fingerprints, collect DNA swabs and photograph “injuries” which a victim of crime might receive.
The children asked lots of interesting questions and at the end of the visit, most of the class wanted to be Crime Scene Investigators.
The visit was organised by local neighbourhood PCSO Martin Dawber.
