What a fantastic effort by these 20 amazing athletes yesterday! Up against 22 other schools, they really gave it their all! Winning 10/10 races in their with brilliant changovers and amazing speed and stamina shown. Within the field events, they threw and jumped to their personal bests! However, the biggest highlight for me, was their team spirit and behaviour throughout-cheering each other on and celebrating our successes! 

We knew we would have a chance of potentially finishing in the medal placings due to the above, the callout was made by the announcer…”In fifth place…Greenmount, 4th place…St Joseph’s and St Bede’s and in third place…..HOLCOMBE BROOK!” The children erupted and were delighted with their bronze medals. Congratulations to Hollymount and BGS who finished in 2nd and 1st place respectively. Thank you to the parents for their support and also to Miss Horridge too! Well done to the 20 legends!
