27th March 2026The girls football team travelled to Redbank last night to take part in the group stage of the school’s football league competition. Mr Crawshaw kindly took the girls, along with several parents (thanks all!) but the team repaid their generosity with a tremendous display with three wins out of three followed by a narrow loss in their final match.... -
13th March 2026On Tuesday 10th March, three children set out to BGS to take part in a Boccia Tournament! They performed superbly and with a fantastic attitude throughout! 4th February 2026What a fantastic effort by these 20 amazing athletes yesterday! Up against 22 other schools, they really gave it their all! Winning 10/10 races in their with brilliant changovers and amazing speed and stamina shown. Within the field events, they threw and jumped to their personal bests! 5th December 2025On Thursday evening, 11 boys went to Redbank 3G pitch to play in a league tournament where the winning team would be guaranteed a spot in the next round. It was a cold, wet and windy evening but the boys were clearly looking forward to it after a great performance last time out ( Super six! ) It was a nervy start...

5th December 2025Miss Forrest and Mr West took a team of six year 5 and 6 children along to Hazelwood High School to take part in a range of sporting challenges. 20th October 2025📣SPORTS DESK Today saw a new year 5/6 football team play Greenhill away in the first round of the cup. We started brightly with Oliver finishing from a narrow angle following a great save from their keeper. 4th April 2025A huge well done to the fantastic football squad that took part in a friendly vs Tottington at home on Tuesday. 15 boys from year 5/6 repesented the school superbly with 2 6-a-side games on the go! One team fought hard but lost 6-4 and the other team managed an incredible 12-7 victory! 16 goals from both teams combined...

7th February 2025On Tuesday, 23 children took part in an indoor athletics competetion and out of 21 schools, managed to come THIRD and received their bronze medals this morning in assembly!
