We use several key tools around school and in the classroom to help teach and develop core values and skills, along a pupil's Learning Journey at Holcombe Brook. 'Learning Waymarks' shown here are specific items from these tools that are relevant to the content, or activity being reported. We add this information with the hope of strengthening these values and accelerating pupil development, both in the classroom and at home. Taj Mahal class have been working on their speaking and listening skills during English lessons this week. The children have been reading ‘Cool!’ by Michael Morpurgo and have enthusiastically assumed the role of different characters from the story so far. The children also worked in pairs to create and answer questions put to them by a local newspaper reporter. It was wonderful to see such active learning which helped to bring the book to life! Well done Taj Mahal.
