16th December 2020We had a fabulous, festive afternoon decorating our gingerbread men and then eating them with a hot chocolate and marshmallows. The children have also made fantastic angels after learning about the Christmas story in RE .

2nd December 2020Eiffel Tower class went on an adventure which included dragons, a golden compass and an eerie cave - all without leaving the school hall! Using headsets, each child played the central role in the adventure story. They used their map skills and knowledge of compass points to follow the story.

24th November 2020The children in Eiffel Tower class loved the silent disco in school last week. They danced their hearts out and couldn’t stop smiling for the rest of the day. What a wonderful way to raise money for our school.

25th November 2020The children have been learning about the Hindu festival of Diwali and to celebrate we made our own Diva lamps. They were all very proud of their lamps and sent in photographs of them lit.

We have made diva lamps which we will be painting and decorating once they are dry. We even learnt a song called “I’m a little diva lamp”. Listen and see if you recognise the tune.

6th March 2020The wonderful children in Golden Gate class were determined to help raise money when they heard about the plight of the polar bears due to global warming. After an extremely successful bake sale which raised more than £100, they have adopted two polar bears and helped raise valuable funds to help protect their habitat.

5th March 2020While the infants enjoyed a pyjama day to mark WBD, the children in Golden Gate had their own special story-time. The children settled down on their cushions and blankets and were served hot chocolate with marshmallows while enjoying their favourite books. They also got to listen to the opening chapter of the new class novel, Wolf Brother.

1st November 2019Children in Golden Gate class put their learning into practice this week when they designed and made wire loop games. Using knowledge gained in our electricity topic in science, the children built their own circuits to recreate the popular game. They had great fun and worked as teams to problem solve during the design process.
