Represent the school in some way

We use several key tools around school and in the classroom to help teach and develop core values and skills, along a pupil's Learning Journey at Holcombe Brook. 'Learning Waymarks' shown here are specific items from these tools that are relevant to the content, or activity being reported. We add this information with the hope of strengthening these values and accelerating pupil development, both in the classroom and at home. As part of their ‘Urban Pioneers’ topic, Taj Mahal class went on a tour of Summerseat. The children were looking for any local landmarks, possible signs of graffiti and the different types and ages of buildings and structures within their local area. The whole class enjoyed spotting various materials and identifying the differences between lots of buildings. There was a lot of walking involved, resulting in some very tired children. However, the tiredness wore off when the class got to spend some free time on the park!
