We use several key tools around school and in the classroom to help teach and develop core values and skills, along a pupil's Learning Journey at Holcombe Brook. 'Learning Waymarks' shown here are specific items from these tools that are relevant to the content, or activity being reported. We add this information with the hope of strengthening these values and accelerating pupil development, both in the classroom and at home. After a morning of ‘mini assessments’, Golden Gate enjoyed designing their own pizza boxes using descriptive phrases, slogans and alliteration. 

They then used their culinary skills to chop and grate then added their toppings creatively.

Once cooked, the pizzas were placed into their personalised boxes and the children enjoyed their tasty creations whilst watching Holes – which is based on the book that we are studying in class.
