Golden Gate using Yakit!

We use several key tools around school and in the classroom to help teach and develop core values and skills, along a pupil's Learning Journey at Holcombe Brook. 'Learning Waymarks' shown here are specific items from these tools that are relevant to the content, or activity being reported. We add this information with the hope of strengthening these values and accelerating pupil development, both in the classroom and at home. The children in year 6 have been planning a newspaper report based on Anne Boleyn’s execution and had done hotseating earlier in the week – questioning a witness, the Arch Bishop and the constable of the Tower of London. They then used direct and reported speech to record what was said. Following that, the children used Yakit to record the direct speech in role as one of the characters.
