We use several key tools around school and in the classroom to help teach and develop core values and skills, along a pupil's Learning Journey at Holcombe Brook. 'Learning Waymarks' shown here are specific items from these tools that are relevant to the content, or activity being reported. We add this information with the hope of strengthening these values and accelerating pupil development, both in the classroom and at home. Our Year 3 Reading Gladiators from Everest Class were extremely excited today to find out we had won our last competition. We had read a book called Ossiri and the Bala Mengro, in which a young girl enjoys playing her instrument. We took inspiration and had to make our own musical instruments out of recycled materials. We then had to compose a piece of music with them. We thoroughly enjoyed the challenge and were very pleased to be so successful.
