As part of our Islam topic in RE, children and staff from Golden Gate visited Darul Uloom School in Holcombe Brook. We walked up to the school and were greeted by our guide, Bashir. He told us all about the history of the school and took us on a tour of the building.

The children asked questions about the school and discovered that there were lots of similarities as well as differences. A Year 7 pupil recited some of the Qu’ran and we were all impressed by how much he had learnt at such a young age.
