As part of our ‘Urban Pioneers’ topic, Taj Mahal class were extremely lucky when a graffiti artist offered to visit us in class. Mr Hardman taught us all about the history of graffiti, different techniques and materials to use and explained how graffiti artists are now able to make a career out of their work.
The children were then asked to design and create their own name ‘Tag’, similar to the ones used by real graffiti artists all over the world. This resulted in some fantastic work being produced and a brilliant morning had by all. Mr Hardman was also kind enough to design a graffiti version of our class name! A massive thank you to Mr Hardman for being so generous with his time and delivering such a wonderful session!
