In what was a close encounter, Holcombe Brook shaded the tie through a Wesley own goal following a powerful corner taken by Joe.

The management team had opted for a change in formation and went for a back 3, à la Chelsea, instead of a back 2.

We had a nervy start but Harry was rarely tested in goal. Oliver had an unbelievable strike tipped over the bar: a strike that looked destined for the top corner!

The highlight of the game came from our left wing back, Jackson. In a tight corner, he produced a 360′ spin followed by a rabona into the box that we nearly scored from.

A special mentioned must go to our subs who all came on and made a difference.

Next up is the semi final vs. Bury Grammar or St. Mary’s Radcliffe and is due to be played on Monday 24th April.
