What. A. Game. The girls got off to a slow start and Hollymount were 2-0 up after ten minutes.
With 5 minutes of the first half to play, our girls really got into their stride with Ella scoring a great goal after a bursting run into the box, followed by a 20-yard screamer from Jasmin, on her debut.
The second half was again, very tight and it could’ve gone either way. Moving Emily into a striker role, rather than in defence, gave Hollymount much more to think about. Her clever link up play and close control caused them a lot of pressure and eventually the pressure paid off. Another dangerous throw from Ella, ricocheted off their midfielder and into the goal.
It was a great game and our girls showed great resilience and determination to fight back from 2-0 down.
Onto Friday, when we face St. Mary’s Radcliffe. Thank you to Mr. Crawshaw and Mrs. Lynchey for giving up their time and to the parents for the vocal support.
