Compete in a competition

We use several key tools around school and in the classroom to help teach and develop core values and skills, along a pupil's Learning Journey at Holcombe Brook. 'Learning Waymarks' shown here are specific items from these tools that are relevant to the content, or activity being reported. We add this information with the hope of strengthening these values and accelerating pupil development, both in the classroom and at home. On Monday afternoon, house captains turned into football managers during our eagerly anticipated year 5/6 inter house tournament. Most classes came outside to cheer on their friends and their house.

It was such a close contest and after 5 matches, the trophy could’ve been won by two different houses. The final match was 1-1 until the final minute but a penalty scored by Jack Gibbins meant that Peel were this year’s winners!
