We were invited to a friendly tournament this evening at St. Joseph’s Ramsbottom with St. Andrew’s also in attendance, bringing two teams. 

To say it was the first time this team have played together, they certainly put on a great show for the travelling parents! Great saves, tackles, passes and of course”¦goals!

With almost every player getting on the score sheet, the team were clearly enjoying their first matches in their brand new kit – which has been kindly sponsored by Radiance Doors  

A huge thank you to all the teams, the football was played in the right spirit and I’m sure the children will havelock of similar experiences as the year progresses. 

The goal of the game was an absolute rocket into the top corner by William after a great through ball by Jonathan. Florence scored a super header and a hat trick in one game too with Heiman being a constant thorn in the side of all teams, popping up with several goals throughout. Charles and Tom marshalled the defence superbly with Tom bagging a brace in the last five minutes. Jenson worked really hard and put in tremendous tackles throughout as well making some great saves in the final match, with Jonathan doing the same in between the sticks for the first two games. 

Mr. Crawshaw and I are both really proud of your effort and attitude, in school and on the football pitch! Keep it up!
