We use several key tools around school and in the classroom to help teach and develop core values and skills, along a pupil's Learning Journey at Holcombe Brook. On Thursday 20th October the rugby team went to Springside primary to play in a tournament. 

They managed to beat Old Hall but lost to Springside, however, due to the number of tries scored, Holcombe Brook still finished top of their group. 

In the semi-finals, they faced Guardian Angels in what was a close encounter. 2-1 was the final score…to Holcombe Brook!

Next up was Greenmount in the final, who managed to score two first half tries. However, Holcombe Brook’s mixed team never gave up and Macy scored a great try in the second half. The final score was 2-1 to Greenmount. Our team did the school proud, they had been training throughout half term with Mrs. Robinson, Mr. Crawshaw and some Woodhey pupils but hadn’t played a competitive match before. 

A tremendous effort. Well done to the team and to Mrs. Robinson. Thank you!
