This week, Grand Canyon have combined Design & Technology with Science, to make their very own zip-wire carriages!

The brief:  To design the fastest zip-wire carriage in the class & to consider the effects of gravity and friction, when selecting materials and adjusting the weight of their designs. 

Stage 1:  Design a carriage which would safely descend the zip-wire.

Stage 2:  Upgrade their first designs, to make them faster, and race them!

Stage 3: Predict which cable material would make their carriages travel the fastest and slowest.
