Congratulations to the athletics team that competed against 20 other schools. We had five GOLD medals which I believe might be a first for our school: Molly (javelin), Seth and Emma (600m), Ariella (long jump and 75m). Both boys and girls managed to win bronze medals for their relay races too! Lots of children also came in the top 6 to earn points for the school : Samuel (shot putt) Alfie (javelin), Tallulah (shot putt), Lincoln (javelin).

The winners of the event were St Joseph’s and St Bede’s with 78 points, Hollymount second with 54 points and we managed to win the third placed shield with 49 points. Narrowly pipping Bury Grammar to the bronze medal position by ONE POINT!
