Well done to our year 2 footballers – you represented the school superbly with your impeccable behaviour and sportsmanship and the football you played was a joy to watch. 

We managed to win 2, draw 1 and lost 1 in our group matches, meaning we finished second place. In the semi final we faced Hollymount, who had topped their group, we knew it would be difficult but the children gave it their best shot but sadly lost 5-2. 

In the third placed playoff game, we were up against Lady Barn who had beaten us 1-0 in the group stage. However, against all odds, the children performed superbly and won 4-0, producing their best performance of the morning. 

It was a terrific day. Thank you to Mrs. Lynchey, the parents and grandparents and Bury Grammar for hosting. The children had a great time and loved collecting their bronze medals.
