We use several key tools around school and in the classroom to help teach and develop core values and skills, along a pupil's Learning Journey at Holcombe Brook. 'Learning Waymarks' shown here are specific items from these tools that are relevant to the content, or activity being reported. We add this information with the hope of strengthening these values and accelerating pupil development, both in the classroom and at home. A few months ago children from Holcombe Brook took part in the Bury in Bloom poster competition. We were delighted when we found out that two of our talented pupils were winners in the competition and had their artwork displayed around the town.

Today they were invited to the awards ceremony at Bury Town Hall. They were presented with a certificate, goody bag and gift voucher by the Mayor of Bury and were treated to afternoon tea with the Mayor!

We know this was a wonderful experience for you both and you will remember it for years to come. Well done – everyone at Holcombe Brook is very proud of you!
