We have been learning all about Traditional Tales in Big Ben Class this half term. We’ve been reading The Enormous Turnip, The Gingerbread Man and The Three Little pigs. We’ve acted out the stories, retold the stories orally and also some children have written the beginning, middle and end of the stories starting with the Traditional Tales beginning ‘Once Upon a Time’ and finishing with ‘they all lived happily ever after.’ We have also linked these stories to science by trying to find the best material to build a bridge for the Gingerbread Man to cross the river so he doesn’t have to go on the back of the fox. The children then had had lots of fun decorating their own gingerbread men biscuits.
