We use several key tools around school and in the classroom to help teach and develop core values and skills, along a pupil's Learning Journey at Holcombe Brook. 'Learning Waymarks' shown here are specific items from these tools that are relevant to the content, or activity being reported. We add this information with the hope of strengthening these values and accelerating pupil development, both in the classroom and at home. We have been learning about British Values at Holcombe Brook.

Assemblies have been based around the core themes of democracy, individual liberty, the rule of law, mutual respect and tolerance. During our ‘Brilliant Britain’ themed week the children in year 5 ran an election campaign, the whole school took part in traditional cookery lessons and a food tasting session and we welcomed visitors from Clarendon Primary School in Bolton.
