2nd October 2015In September ITV Granada visited the school to learn more about how our pupils are being encouraged to improve their writing skills by publishing their writing online, on the Pobble website. 30th July 2015A range of logo designs from the full class, done in colour in the second phase of the logo design process, after initial B&W sketched concepts were createdThe logo designs were created by the Y5 pupils of Mr. Bradshaw's 2014-2015 class. 4th July 2015We have been learning about British Values at Holcombe Brook. Assemblies have been based around the core themes of democracy, individual liberty, the rule of law, mutual respect and tolerance. During our 'Brilliant Britain' themed week the children in year 5 ran an election campaign, the whole school took part in traditional cookery lessons and a food tasting session...

4th July 2015This year we have also had great success in Kwik Cricket - winning the Bury finals and representing our town at Northern Cricket Club in Crosby Liverpool on 26th June! Well done team!

4th July 2015It was another successful year for our boys and girls cross country teams with Erin, Lucy, Emily and Milly chosen to represent Bury.During the final event of the cross country season, the boys were placed in 5th and the girls were in first place out of 20 schools. It all boiled down to a relay race at Bury Athletics track....

24th June 2015We were very proud to pick in wins in both the KS1 and KS2 Audio categories, at the 2015 TCSC Oscars! The TCSC Oscars are a celebration of the work being done in Bury schools in video and sound, and this years ceremony was held on the 24th June.Well done to the nominees!

4th June 2014On June 28th the Girls' football team won the BJJSA 7 aside league competition going 10 games unbeaten throughout the season. This was closely followed by another victory in the BJSSA 6 aside cup competition where we won 6 matches and only conceded one. This feat will be mighty difficult to match during 2013/2014 but we have set the benchmark now!Well done to the whole...
