Each Monday year 5 and 6 children take part in French and Ukulele lessons held by Mrs. Byrne and Mr. Bradshaw. We have two different group levels based on the ability of children in Ukulele, French is mixed levels because not everyone is good at both. I like these lessons because we get a variety of curriculum activity in one afternoon. We get the musical side of school and the language side. Some people thrive in French and some people Ukulele, it doesn’t matter! Each person takes part in every lesson of the afternoon and now there is even a Ukulele club on at Monday lunch times, which is also an opportunity for children further down in school to play Ukulele. With French we will be prepared for High school and if we ever go on holiday to France we will get by easily.
