Shopping in Madeira is very cheap, a good supermarket in madeira is called Pingo Doce, even though it only has Portuguese in the shop it is still very cheap. A packet of crisps can be just €1.49, a tub of strawberry ice cream can be €3.29, and a cheese pizza can be €2.39! There are also some SPAR stores too. Also Madeira is a big place if you like mentos, I went there and there were many stores that had mentos.
