Earlier in the season, we faced St. Mary’s in a group match and lost that day 5-2. It was a difficult game for the girls but it made them even more determined to come back stronger!

We managed to get through the group and won our semi final which meant we would face St. Mary’s once again in the final, which was held at Woodbank Primary on Tuesday 21st June. 

Pat half time the score was the 3-1 to Holcombe Brook after a brace from Nikita and a goal scored by Summer. 

The second half was a mirror image of the first with another 3-1 scoreline, however, all three goals this half were scored by Nikita!

From the brave Rosie in goal to our diminutive, tough-tackling defenders in Lauren, Lucy and Ella, our creative midfielders-Nikita and Summer and hard working forwards – Rosa and Millie: it is clear that we have yet another outstanding girls football team. We were crowned 7-a-side champions for the sixth year running! We now represent Bury on Thursday at the GM games at Whalley Range High and also have 6-a-side finals on Monday 27th at Bury Grammar!
