During the week of ‘World Book Day’ all classes were set a challenge to complete different book & reading related activities. Here are some of the activities that reception class took part in:

– Soundscaping: working in a group to create music, using instruments, in response to a page in a picture book
– Visualisation: working in a group to create a picture, in response to a picture in a picture book
– Freeze-frames: drama and role-play activity, in response to a picture in a picture book
– Book character dress up
– Share-a-story: book swap with year 5/6 pupils
– Listening to a book read in French (by a year 6 pupil)
– Listening to a familiar book read in a different way (The Gruffalo’s Wean read by Mrs Lynchey)
