The children in Reception Class loved their first Now Press Play audio adventure. They listened to the Transport story and took part in the interactive story.
This term in Stonehenge class, children have been learning about magnets. Following taught sessions, children explored the magnets by sorting materials, looking for magnets in the environment by testing and making robots using magnetic materials.
What a way to demonstrate our knowledge of a novel sequence!

Congratulations to our picture book competition winners! The competition was inspired by a recent visit from author-illustrator David Lucas.

We have a new teddy bear in reception class and we have named him Patch. This week he has been playing with the pupils and having lots of fun! They have been reading to him, teaching him how to draw and even giving him snack!

Lots of pupils in Reception Class entered the science presentation contest and confidently shared their projects and experiments with the rest of the class. Well done to everyone who took part - you were all brilliant! A small selection of children went through to the ‘Grand Science Fair’ were they presented their projects to the whole school well done!
Reception class have been learning how to make simple animations this term. This involved lots of different basic ICT skills like how to take a photograph using an iPad and then how to use an app. They picked up these skills very well and have started to use them independently.
Reception class have been learning all about penguins this term and their English lessons have been based on the wonderful picture book, Blue Penguin. The children in reception were treated to hot chocolate, a story (Stickman) followed by a practical activity making their own stickman, toasting brioche by the camp fire and lots of fun in our own woodland area, when the CommuniTree Initiative joined us.

Grand Canyon class recently learned all about what happens at a Hindu Mandir, including how Hindus worship their many gods at shrines both in the temple and at home!
